First we donated money for supplies, because every volunteer effort can use money. Then on May 10 we moved the one trip we had scheduled and the staff spent 9 hours hammering stakes, moving pipe and shoveling dirt back into trenches. It fits with our core values that we are trying to pass on – even though we are a charter service and catch crabs, we deeply respect and cherish the environment. We have made a commitment to environmental stewardship. Part of what you will experience on a trip with us is the bay waters many people do not see. And if they don’t see it and appreciate it, they will never know why we all need to do our part to protect it.
